Alluxio, the developer of the open-source data platform, has enhanced Alluxio Enterprise AI. Version 3.2 showcases the platform’s capability to utilize GPU resources universally, improvements in I/O performance, and competitive end-to-end performance with HPC storage. It also introduces a new Python interface and sophisticated cache management features. These advancements empower organizations to fully exploit their AI infrastructure, ensuring peak performance, cost-effectiveness, flexibility, and manageability.

Alluxio today added the ability to better maximize usage of graphical processors units (GPUs) by adding an ability to more granularly control I/O throughput to a version of its data orchestration and virtual file system platform that is optimized for artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Alluxio Inc., which sells a high-performance open-source distributed filesystem, announced a set of enhancements that optimize the use of costly graphic processing units along with performance improvements that make its storage performance competitive with storage subsystems optimized for high-performance computing.

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) was founded by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) in the United Kingdom. INWED was first celebrated in 2014 with the aim of raising awareness about the achievements of women in engineering, encouraging more girls and women to pursue careers in the field, and promoting diversity and inclusivity in the engineering profession. Since its inception, INWED has gained global recognition and is now celebrated annually on June 23rd.
